[ Introduction: leader picks child to knock on bin, everyone calls 'come out Stinky!', Stinky comes out singing his intro tune ]
STINKY: Ehh! Hello Miss Pat! Hello little monkeys.
LEADER: Hello Stinky, how are you?!
STINKY: Oh, I'm a bit cranky...
LEADER: Why?
STINKY: A friend gave me this little seed. He said it would grow into a big tree. But I've been waiting and waiting and WAITING, and still there's no tree! It looks so little and puny. I don't think this is a good seed. Bad seed, bad!
LEADER: Oh, Stinky! That's not how good seeds grow.
STINKY: Well how do I know if this is a good seed?
LEADER: Kids, what should Stinky do with the seed?
[ Kids: plant it, bury it in the ground. ]
LEADER: Yes, you have to bury it.
STINKY: Bury it! But if I bury it, it will die! And if it dies, it will be dead! And if it's dead, it'll never grow into a big tree!
LEADER: No Stinky, with a good seed, when you bury it in the ground, then the seed dies, but a big tree grows out of it. You know the BIG trees at the beach and your street? Well, they grew from little seeds like yours, because they were buried.
STINKY: That's amazing!! ... Hey Miss Pat, I have a question...
LEADER: OK
STINKY: You know how on Good Friday we remembered how Jesus was buried? But you told me Jesus was God's special king.
LEADER: Yes...
STINKY: Well, how can we be sure that Jesus really was God's king?
LEADER: Well, because God raised Jesus back to life after he was buried!
STINKY: Really?!
LEADER: Yes, that was God's way of saying 'Yes, Jesus is God's special king'. This is what Jesus said to explain his death and resurrection:

STINKY: Just like my seed!
LEADER: Yes! We can know for sure that Jesus is the king of the world because he rose from the grave.
STINKY: The king of the world... that's amazing!
LEADER: Yes! We can trust him with our death and know that one day Jesus will raise us to life again with him. And his kingdom is growing bigger and bigger around the world as more people trust him. That's the special thing we remember today. Let's have a look at our Bible Bite. This is what we learnt today:

LEADER: Let's read it together kids.

LEADER: OK Stinky, it's your turn, can you remember our Bible Bite?
STINKY: Eh, I might need some help... The king grew a tree in my bin.
LEADER: Is that right kids? Hmm, Stinky, I think we better do it again all together. [Read aloud]
STINKY: Well done everyone.
STINKY: Thank you for teaching me about Jesus, Miss Pat! I better go and bury my little seed, so that it grows into a BIG tree. See you later little monkeys!
