[ Introduction: leader picks child to knock on bin, everyone calls 'come out Stinky!', Stinky comes out singing his intro tune ] [ S comes out with cook book ]

STINKY: Oh, I'm so excited, Miss Pat! My Aunty Putrid has sent me a recipe for a cake! She's a really good cook, she makes the best cakes ever! She wrote me a little note -- I need a little monkey to read it for me...

Dear Stinky, I hope you're well and that you still smell like putrid milk. I'm sending you a recipe for a great cake. If you obey its instructions, you will make a really tasty cake that you can enjoy with all your little monkey friends. Trust me! Do what it says! Your smelly Aunty Putrid

STINKY: Oh yeah! That sounds great. Look how good it is! I'm going to make a cake today! Could you and the little monkeys help me please, Miss Pat?

LEADER: Wow! Of course Stinky!

STINKY: Yes, that'd be great! And after we cook it, we can eat it together!

LEADER: That'd be great, wouldn't it kids?

STINKY: Ok. I need you to read me the recipe, and put the ingredients in this bowl. Here's a spoon for mixing.

[ Leader holds bowl high and close to bin. Gets child to hold recipe book for her. ]

LEADER: Flour -- 2 cups exactly

STINKY: Ahh... Exactly my foot! I'll just throw a bit like that...

LEADER: 2 cups Water

STINKY: Eh... I have some cordial, just put that in.

LEADER: Now we need some vanilla essense, to give it a really nice smell!

STINKY: Oh, smell! Yeah, I'm good at that. Let me see what I can find... Hmmm... I don't have any vanilla essense Miss Pat, but I found this old smelly sock. It stinks!

LEADER: Stinky, you're not following your Aunty's recipe! Don't you trust her?

STINKY: Ah! I don't need that silly recipe to know how to make a cake -- I'll just make it up myself!

STINKY: 2 tablespoons of Sugar

STINKY: Ah! I've got something very similar -- Salt! They look just the same!

LEADER: Half a dozen Figs

STINKY: I don't have any figs, but I've got some twigs! They sound the same!

LEADER: 200 grams of mixed Nuts

STINKY: Ah! I do have some nuts -- they're made of metal! It'll be the same. Now I just need someone to stir all the ingredients together...

[ Leader chooses child to stir, then shows it to kids ]

LEADER: Oh Stinky! I don't think this is a good cake! You didn't follow the recipe! You didn't trust your Aunty Putrid!

STINKY: Can I see it? Oh oh! That cake looks disgusting! Oh Miss Pat, I think you're right. I should have trusted my Aunty Putrid and followed her recipe!\ Hey Miss Pat... I have a question. Does God give us any instructions on how to live life, or do we have to make it up ourselves?

LEADER: What a good question Stinky. What do you think kids?

[ Leader gets responses. ]

LEADER: Well, let's find out what the Bible says. Let's get Robbie the Robot's help.

[Leader gets volunteer to read Ps 119.105:\ "Your word is like a lamp that shows me the way. It is like a light that guides me."]

LEADER: Wow! This tells us the Bible is like a lamp or a torch in the dark, it guides our way. Just like a recipe guides us in making a cake. If we trust God, we will obey his Word -- The Bible. And the Bible will tell us how to live forever with God: by trusting Jesus.

STINKY: That's great! What's the Bible Bite for today, Miss Pat?

LEADER: Let's see what Robbie says...

[Leader asks child to read:\ The Bible is God's guide for living forever with Him. Trust and obey it!\ Then all together, then Stinky, who says "Ah... My smelly sock is a recipe for eating muffins forever.", then all together again.]

STINKY: Oh, I'm sorry I didn't follow my Aunty's recipe Miss Pat. Now we all miss out in sharing the yummy cake!

LEADER: Well, that's OK Stinky, because I just happen to have some muffins here that we can share!

STINKY: Oh, that's great! Thank you Miss Pat!

STINKY: [Leader hands out. ]

STINKY: I better go now. Thanks for teaching me about the Bible Miss Pat! See you later little monkeys!
