[ Introduction: leader picks child to knock on bin, everyone calls 'come out Stinky!', Stinky comes out singing his intro tune ]
STINKY: Hello little monkeys!
LEADER: Hello Stinky! How are you today?
STINKY: Hello Mr Nathan! Oh, I'm very excited today. I'm trying to solve a mystery, and I'd like help from you and the little monkeys. Can you please help me?
[ Kids respond 'yes'! ]
STINKY: Well, someone sent me a gift - some lollies! But they didn't say who it was. Instead, they have been sending me some notes with clues about themselves. I'm trying to work out who it is, and I'd like to know more about him or her.
LEADER: OK, what shall we do?
STINKY: I know! The little monkeys can read the clues and we can try and guess who sent them to me! Here they are Mr Nathan.
[Leader hands out notes, go through clues:\ - I will be at church on Sunday.\ - I am a boy, not a girl.\ - My middle name is [?]\ - I drive a Toyota car.\ - I like looking at the stars.]
STINKY: Wow, this is hard! OK, I've got one last clue! Here it is:
[ [Leader reads] This is a special clue - it is the last clue, and the best clue; it will tell you the most about me. Find Nicholas Austin, and you'll get to know me! He looks like me, and he is like me. He knows me really well and can tell you lots of things about me. ]
STINKY: Wow, you better come out to the front to help us Nicholas!
[ Nicholas comes ]
STINKY: What do you think kids, who might be the mystery person? He looks like Nicholas!
[ Kids guess Peter Austin (leader helps if necessary) ]
Peter comes to front, can say "Yep, it was me Stinky, I wanted you to get to know me better so we could be good friends!
STINKY: Thank you Mr Peter! That was a good way to make friends!
[ Peter and Nicholas exit ]
STINKY: Oh Mr Nathan! Nicholas was the best clue ever! When he came, we could know the mystery man!
LEADER: That's right Stinky!
STINKY: Hey Mr Nathan, I have a question... You've been teaching me how we can know God. What's the best clue God has given us?
LEADER: Good question! Well, first let's remember what we've learnt.
[ Reads out each Bible Bite, sticks on bin ]
STINKY: Wow, we've learnt a lot this year. But Mr Nathan, what's the best way to know Jesus?
LEADER: Well, let's find out what the Bible says.
[ Slide: Verse: The Son is the gleaming brightness of God\'s glory. He is the exact likeness of God\'s being. (Hebrews 1:3a) ]
LEADER: See? The Bible tells us God has done many things to help us know Him. But He saved the best till last! He sent many prophets that told us about God, but then He sent his own son. This says that Jesus is "the exact likeness of God\'s being". He shows us what God is like -- we can see it! We can know God by knowing Jesus, because Jesus is His son, and the perfect, full revelation of God. Jesus is the way to know God. Let's think of some ways in which Jesus shows us what God is like.
LEADER: Jesus had power over nature - [Stinky: and so does God!]\ Jesus is perfect, he never sinned - [Stinky: just like God\ Jesus loves people - [Stinky: just like God\ Jesus hates sin - [Stinky: just like God!\ Jesus was really kind to people - [Stinky: just like God!\ Jesus provided food and drink to people - [Stinky: just like God!\ Jesus' words were powerful - [Stinky: just like God!
STINKY: That's amazing! So what's the Bible Bite for today?
[ Slide: Jesus is the way to know God. [Leader reads out] ]
[ Bible Bite - a child reads, then S gets wrong ("Knowing Jesus is the best way to know Peter Austin"), then all together. ]
LEADER: Stinky, can you say the Bible Bite?
STINKY: Eh... Knowing Mr Peter is the way to get gifts. Is that it?
LEADER: Oh, Stinky! Kids, let's read it together. You join us Stinky.

STINKY: Oh, thank you for helping me. And thank you for teaching me how we can know God. I better go now, bye!
