[ Introduction: leader picks child to knock on bin, everyone calls 'come out Stinky!', Stinky comes out singing his intro tune ]
STINKY: Hello little monkeys!
LEADER: Hello Stinky!
STINKY: [Bit down] Hello Mr Nathan.
LEADER: Hey, I heard the big news! You were chosen for a new soccer team!
STINKY: Yeah... The Corrimal Comets. It's an all puppets team... We're really good at headers.
LEADER: That's great! Hey, you don't sound very excited about it.
STINKY: Well, we had our first game yesterday morning...
LEADER: Oh, how did it go?
STINKY: [Angry] Not good!
LEADER: Why?
STINKY: Well, I didn't like the team shirt, so I brought my own one, with a different colour -- yellow with pink dots.
LEADER: [Surprised] What?
STINKY: Yeah. And I didn't like the ball they were playing with, so I started playing with my own.
LEADER: Ah, Stinky...
STINKY: And I didn't like the rules -- so I made up my own.
LEADER: Wait, Stinky -- what did your team mates think of all this?
STINKY: Oh, that's the strange bit -- they got cranky!
LEADER: Yes... Stinky, you were playing like a baby!
STINKY: Oh... That's what they said!
LEADER: That's not how you play soccer in a team.
STINKY: No?
LEADER: No. There is one team jersey, one ball, and one set of rules. The team has to be united around those.
STINKY: Well... We had a bit of an argument instead. I'm not sure they want me to play with them again.
LEADER: That's no good...
STINKY: Hey Mr Nathan, I have a question. Do christians ever have arguments with each other?
LEADER: Sadly, sometimes we do. But I want to show you a passage that will help us. Here it is.
[ Slide (verse): There is one body and one Spirit. You were appointed to one hope when you were chosen. There is one Lord, one faith and one baptism. There is one God and Father of all. He is over everything. He is through everything. He is in everything. [Eph 4:4-6] ]
LEADER: Look Stinky -- how many 'ones' can you find?
STINKY: One body?
LEADER: Yes -- that means one big church. All followers of Jesus belong to it.
STINKY: One Spirit?
LEADER: Yes -- the Holy Spirit unites us under Jesus and makes us more like him.
STINKY: One hope?
LEADER: Yes -- we all hope in Jesus.
STINKY: One Lord?
LEADER: Yes -- Jesus is Lord of everything and everyone.
STINKY: And one God?
LEADER: Yes -- God is the father of all of us. And when we accept him as the boss of everyone, we come together, united like a good team.
STINKY: Oh, I see it! If we all submit to Jesus, then we'll be united.
LEADER: Yes! Let's see our Bible Bite:
[ Slide: Bible Bite: There is one Lord over all, who unites us. ]
LEADER: Can you try Stinky?
STINKY: Eh... There is one ball only, and everyone wants it.
LEADER: Stinky! Let's do it all together.
[ All together ]
LEADER: Great! So Stinky, what will you do about your soccer?
STINKY: Oh, I want to try again -- properly this time! I want to be united with my team.
LEADER: Ah, that sounds great!
STINKY: Yes, I better go now and practice with them now. Bye bye little monkeys!
