[ Introduction: leader picks child to knock on bin, everyone calls 'come out Stinky!', Stinky comes out singing his intro tune ]

STINKY: Hello little monkeys!

LEADER: Hello Stinky! How are you?

STINKY: Oh, I'm excited! My puppet family is having a family feast get together.

LEADER: That sounds good!

STINKY: Oh, it's amazing, and great, and wonderful. Mama Pong makes her amazing scones with ants sprinkled on top, and Papa Pong makes his delicious sausages with vomit sauce, and Uncle Pong tells his great stories of when he lived in the rubbish tip...

LEADER: Great, so when is it?

STINKY: Today.

LEADER: Today? Oh, what time?

STINKY: Right now.

LEADER: Right now?! But Stinky, why are you here instead of there?

STINKY: Oh, I'm not going. I like enjoying the get together all by myself...

STINKY: But Stinky, that doesn't make sense! You can't enjoy the family get together unless you get together.

STINKY: Oh -- but why did you all get together here?

LEADER: This is our church.

STINKY: Oh, church, yes, of course, church - What is church anyway?

LEADER: Good question! Church is --

STINKY: [Interrupts] Oh I know! Church is a club!

LEADER: A club? Well, we do share a love -- but it's not a love of stamps, but a love of Jesus. Church is better than a club, where you only talk about the little thing you're interested in with people just like you! Church is about all of life, for everyone.

STINKY: OK, OK, I know. It's like the movies, where you sit and watch a show.

LEADER: Well, we do listen to God's word, but it's better than the movies. We don't just sit and watch - we live it! And you don't have to pay for a ticket...

STINKY: OK, I know. It is like a shop, where you come and get what you need.

LEADER: Well, we are blessed at church. But it's more than that - we can help each other!

STINKY: OK, I know. It's like the RTA branch, where you go to do business with God when you have to. Like hatches, matches, and dispatches!

LEADER: Well, we do celebrate together the special moments in life, but church is better than that! God cares about all of our life. And because He is God, we owe Him our whole life.

STINKY: OK, I know. Church is like school, where we learn about God.

LEADER: Yes, we do come to hear God's word. But it's better than that. What we learn at church helps us make sense of all of life, and we can teach each other. And we don't just learn about God, we get to know Him and His people.

STINKY: OK, I know. Church is like a soccer team.

LEADER: Well, we do work together with Jesus as our captain. But church is better, because it's not about just a game -- it's about life!

STINKY: OK, I know... actually, I don't know. Hey Mr Nathan, do you know what church is?

LEADER: Gee Stinky, thanks for asking... [rolls eyes] Church is a family -- God's family. So of course we get together. We get together to listen to God speak to us, from the Bible. We get together to speak to God, by praying. We get together to help and encourage each other, by singing together and talking to one another.

STINKY: That's amazing! Thank you for teaching me about church Mr Nathan. I better go to my family get together straight away -- I don't want to miss it. Bye bye little monkeys!

LEADER: Bye Stinky!
